I have worked with children and teens for over fifteen years. I also tutor privately. I always break tasks down to their simplest elements. I also structure learning activities to ensure that children are enjoying themselves.
I believe FUN equals LEARNING! I rely on my skills as an occupational therapist when teaching French. More specifically, my style is to break down challenging tasks into engaging smaller components and to help kids master those skills first.
My proudest moment was when I received a scholarship to attend the graduate level Occupational Therapy program at Tufts University.
I attended McGill University in my hometown of Montreal and then went on to study occupational therapy at Tufts University in Boston.
Learning a second language can be challenging. I know this firsthand from moving to Montreal when I was seven. I attended French Immersion and didn't know a word of French. Over time, I learned to speak French, but I know learning is frustrating at times. I want children to enjoy the process of learning when they use my resources. And I want teachers to enjoy using them.
