I have over twenty years experience teaching the elementary grades in language arts, health, social studies and FRENCH.
I LOVE teaching French!!! My philosophy in teaching a second language is that if I have FUN teaching, then my students will have FUN learning. I enjoy teaching because I really get to know most of the school population, and I really enjoy the challenges of creating activities that "hook" my students into an environment that is safe and conducive to positive experiences--activities that make me connect with my students. Welcome to my store where the FUN has just begun!
I love teaching FRENCH and feel that in order to learn any language students need to be engaged. I think that visual learning is awesome as clip art and illustrations in general are the catalyst that "hook" a student in. I love creating products that include all students and make everyone a winner!
My education spans in diverse areas. I have a University degree in French, an Early Childhood Education Diploma, and a Master of Science in Education. I have also home-schooled students from the elementary school level right to college and University.
I am married to a wonderful and supportive husband. I have two grown up children, and a menagerie of animals-a dog (Joey), a BIG black Maine Coon Kitty (Tinkerbelle), and three parrots (Tiko, Lexie, and Skittles). Our house is never short of activity, children, and visitors! In my spare time I love to read, crochet and put together attractive activities for my students.
