TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for over 13 years. I am Orton-Gillingham certified and created my own multi-sensory program that is based off of Orton.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in working with young children (ages 3-7) to give them a solid foundation in literacy. I also prefer to identify young children with reading difficulties by the time they are 7. Interventions and preventions must be in place before a problem arises. My solution is to provide direct reading instruction to children in a one on one setting (tutoring style) or small group. When children fluently know their letters and sounds, they will be successful readers.
