TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught for 22 years- 11 years at a fabulous high school, 9 years at a phenomenal middle school, plus a few more years at some less-than-exemplary schools in various states...I have taught EVERY grade except K and 1st! I have also taught at the ZOO! Seriously!!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I enjoy giving a great lecture, accompanied with PowerPoint slides and worksheets to keep students "at the right place, at the right time," engaged and learning. LFS and Common Core combined to push my classroom into a more student-interactive workshop. I have incorporated collaborative assignments, task cards, Match Up activities, and much more. Even so, a solid well-planned lesson plan with a first-class PowerPoint is still my favorite!

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am married to an United States airman. My oldest son (a Type One Diabetic who managed to win Homecoming King, Prom King and Teenager of the Year) is currently writing in Hollywood. My youngest children, twins, are following in their big brother's footsteps (hopefully not the diabetes part!). I thoroughly enjoy this life. I hope you find many items that will help you in your classroom. Kind Regards!- K
