I am about to begin my third year teaching kindergarten, but my first year as a general education teacher! I am so excited to see what this new opportunity brings my way!
My teaching style is best classified as student centered. My number one goal for my students is to have them develop the skills and behaviors necessary for a successful life of learning. I seek to accomplish this by creating unique, engaging, interdisciplinary lessons and activities that challenge the students to put forth their greatest effort with each and every task.
In my senior year of college, I received an award for my thesis, which focused on revamping the education system in the United States to meet and exceed the standards set forth by competitive programs throughout the world. In addition to receiving an award, my thesis was published in a scholarly journal!
I graduated from college with honors and a B.A. in Anthropology and Elementary Education with endorsements in ESL and TSD.
I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in first grade and feel so fortunate to be able to live out my dream!
