We're passionate about making books with students! Using children's literature, we have the students create their own versions so they will have books to read at home. We have over 60 years combined experience in Arizona, Washington, and Massachusetts. We have traveled around the country exhibiting and presenting at kindergarten conferences. Lisa is still teaching in Phoenix and Linda has retired and moved to Georgia to be close to her grandchildren.
Who doesn't love making books with kindergartners? In our books based on literature, every page requires the children to write one or two missing words as well as create the illustrations usually with collage. We even create books from boring worksheets for our station activities - no more messy papers to collect, check, and pass back out! We use our Station Activities products at reading/literacy/math stations rather than worksheet after worksheet. Your students too can make their own books to take home with our KinderLit products!
We were honored as excellent kindergarten teachers by the Washington Elementary School Board in Phoenix, AZ. Lisa was selected as an Office Max "A Day Made Better" in 2010 and is a Lamp of Learning winner in 2012 in our school district.
Linda graduated from the University of Delaware and Lisa from Washington State University. We have many graduate credit hours from colleges and universities in Arizona and Massachusetts.
