Kinesthetic Kid

I am currently an English Second Language teacher in a kindergarten classroom.

I believe that kids need to be engaged to learn. That means moving around and having a little fun! It takes creativity to create lesson plans that meet the common core objectives, are developmentally appropriate, effectively teach the kids, AND are fun. However, I believe that it is possible and I try my best to provide quality resources that prove it is!

I am a kinesthetic learner. I was the kid in class who couldn't understand what the teacher was saying until I could did it myself. I had to get creative in school to excel. Songs were created to help me remember the stages of mitosis. Hand movements were created to remember the Paiget's stages of development. Suddenly, learning was fun for me. And I truly think it can be fun for every kid! My kinesthetic learning style has become the building blocks of my teaching. I try to include each of the three learning styles into my lessons so that all kids can be successful!
