I’ve taught mild-moderate & moderate-severe Middle School students since 2011. SPED Instructor with the North Coast School of Education. Master Teacher Sonoma State University.
Loud, energetic, student-centered… basically controlled chaos. But that’s how I roll and I love it. I will always be the teacher who dresses up for all Spirit Days and by my side is our Therapy Dog Merika! Providing a fun, safe place for ALL students is my goal. I am the kind of teacher who walks down the hallway and says hi to everyone, even if I don’t know them. From running DJ Club and leading Safe School Ambassadors, to coaching Track & Field, I love what I do and love where I work.

I graduated from Sonoma State University in 2010 with a BA in Liberal Arts with a Pre-Credential emphasis. While completing her bachelor's degree I served with AmeriCorps CalSERVES for two years as a Mentor and as an After School Team Leader. I received two credentials from Sonoma State University, both in Special Education; one specializing in students with mild to moderate disabilities and one specializing in students with moderate to severe disabilities. I am currently in progress on my Master’s Degree in Special Education.
Most would describe me a loud enthusiastic happy person. I am an NPR junkie, crazy dog lady, and HUGE Red Sox fan. I love to travel! My husband and I just got back from Tanzania, Africa where we worked with the Young Adult Special Education program. It was truly an amazing experience. I love being outside… Starting our school garden was the perfect excuse to take my lessons outside! Check me out at http://mrskinghsms.weebly.com/
