I have been a second grade inclusion teacher for four years. This is my fourth year teaching third grade. Before then, I spent two years tutoring for a well known tutoring company. I love a challenge including new standards or anything to do with technology. Anything that I can do to better prepare my students is my number one goal.
I believe on teaching with current events and real life experiences. I love a friendly competition, and my students thrive off of it. I believe a open discussion will only lead to higher levels of thinking. As long as my students are learning we will keep talking!
The award that I am striving for is Teacher of the Year one day!
University of West Florida, BA in Elementary Ed/ESOL and starting next year I plan on starting my masters in educational leadership. A long term goal would be to work with curriculum planning or writing!
Born in Ohio, raised in Florida. Love to quilt, scrapbook and spend time with my little girl.
