TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I'm a substitute teacher in the OCDSB and living happily in Ottawa, Ontario!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe that a teacher's life is one of joyful servitude. From the moment you step into a classroom you become responsible for not only the well-being of your students, but of all students. And it is your responsibility to provide an environment where task are respectful, parents are contacted and that you hold an unwavering belief that your students are capable of accomplishment.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

My favorite thing in the world is that moment where a student's knowledge base is transformed. The "ah ha" moment where everything falls into place for them.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Bachelor of Education, Junior/Intermediate – English, University of Ottawa Developing a Global Perspective for Educators Cohort Bachelor of Fine Art, University of Ottawa Certification in Watercolor Painting, Northern College, South Porcupine, Ontario

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I was a part of the Developing a Global Perspective for Educators cohort during my Bachelor of Education. What this means is I was immersed in teaching and learning strategies that integrate international development education into classroom curriculum.
