I am an Instructional Lead ESOL teacher in Maryland. I work right outside of Washington, D.C. I work with students in grades K-12, so a lot of the resources that I create in TPT can be applied to various grade levels. I have provided workshops on strategies for ELLs, best Web 2.0 tools, ESOL math strategies, and best teaching practices. I have presented ESOL math strategies at an ASCD conference as well.
I like project-based activities that are hands-on, student driven, and interactive. I love creating opportunities for students to make decisions about their own learning. I believe that when students are provided with more choices and opportunities to drive instruction, they are more motivated to engage in learning, they produce great work, and have positive learning experiences. Making educational resources is my creative outlet. I love creating lessons and resources that address a variety of learning styles and encourage students to read, write, speak, and listen in English.

I have a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and a Master's in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
I have a teenager daughter, who just graduated high school! Woohoo! I also have three dogs: a Chocolate Lab, a Westie, and an Italian Greyhound. They keep me really busy! I love running, spin biking, and creating resources for my ESOL students.
