I taught Special Education for 10 years. Then, I switched gears & taught ELL for 6 years. For the past 7 years, I've kept teachers' children in my home and taught them.
I am especially partial to visual/kinesthetic learning styles. I love thinking outside the box to get ideas across to those who have special needs & are learning English. I also love rethinking old ways & making them "new" or "better".
Teacher of the Year...Elkton Middle School 2000
I graduated from Eastern Mennonite College in 1991 with a degree in Liberal Arts & a minor in TESL w/ certification in ED, LD, & MR.
