TEACHING EXPERIENCE

High School Social Studies Teacher Colon Community Schools September 2008-June 2014 Taught six different classes, including the subject matters of Government, Economics, World History, Current Issues, 20th Century Popular Culture History, and 8th Grade US History to students ranging from the eighth grade to seniors. Curriculum mapped and worked to align the subjects of Civics, Economic, 8th Grade US History, and 20th Century Popular Culture History. Improved my adaptations skills for students by working closely with the special education teachers in the high school. Immersed myself in after school culture to gain a connection with the students outside the classroom through coaching, weight lifting, and class sponsorship.
