I have taught for 12 years, teaching grades 3, 4, and 5, as well as working with students with developmental delays, autism, and moderate special needs. Though grade 4 is my favorite, working with children is always fun, and I love that each day is different than the last!
I believe in hands-on, cooperative learning. Students learn through experience and have the most meaningful insights when they have figured out an idea themselves. I try to make my products both developmentally appropriate and academically challenging, while still being fun for students. I love to collaborate with fellow teachers and find that the best ideas come when I'm brainstorming with my peers!
