Instead of using a class newsletter that I fill with information about what we are learning in class, students complete their own personal newsletter. Students fill out this form on Fridays. It allows students to take ownership.
I attach this sheet to my students' report card. I have them fill it out in front of me and then I sign it. I utilize this as a reflection so that parents and students can see the correlation between behaviors and grades.

I use this for my Word Work center for the Daily 5. Pin the wheel to cardstock or another type of thick paper so that the students can spin the wheel. Students will do the activity that the wheel lands on :)
