TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my 9th year teaching. I taught 1st grade for 2 years and have been in kindergarten ever since!

MY TEACHING STYLE

Movement, movement, movement! Because every child learns differently, I teach differently. We sing songs, dance around, have discussions, draw, write, paint, create and role play...EVERY day. {And then some!} All while teaching the Common Core of course! ;)

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Masters in Elementary Education {Reading}. National Board Certification.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

In college I majored in Early Childhood Education and minored in Psychology. I added to my teaching license in 2008 when I earned my National Board Certification and again in 2010 by adding my Master's degree. I am always looking for new ideas and ways to teach because I know I need to improve and change as my students do. My teaching blog and TeachersPayTeachers are my most recent new adventures!
