After completing my first year teaching as a 1st grade teacher in a small private school on Long Island, I am excited to move up and be a 5th grade ICT special education teacher in NYC! I have also completed my student teaching placements in a 5th grade inclusion, 1st grade general education (10 ESL students), Grades 3-5 self-contained, and K-Grade 2 self-contained (Autism) classrooms.
I believe in using mindfulness and yoga to create a community and as a form of classroom management. I am environmentally friendly and hope to make my students active citizens in their communities and schools. It is my goal to have my students leave my classroom at the end of the year as positive, conscientious, and mindful children.
