TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 9 years now. I currently teach Grade 7 Math and Language Arts, but I have taught grades 3 to 9, multiple subjects. My passion is teaching Math, for sure. I love the challenges that middle school students bring to the room every day. It's a very special age to be a part of. They teach me so much.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am full of energy and fresh ideas. I love taking risks in the classroom - even when they don't pay off. To me, that's just part of the learning process. I am not afraid to fall on my face and I think it's healthy for my students to see me try and then try again, if things don't work out. I strive to make my lessons and activities as fun and engaging as possible. I like to incorporate hands-on activities whenever I can. I love using Math stations!
