I have been teaching at a public school for over 7 years in grades 4th and 5th.
My classroom is a place overflowing with humor, laughter, and where learning is fun. It is a community in which students feel safe to take risks and think “outside the box.” It is a place where children know their ideas and opinions are valued and feel comfortable to express them. I set high expectations for my students and even higher ones for myself. Through Reading and Writing Workshop, Guided Math, and Inquiry Based Science experiments, my lessons are tailored to the needs of individual students. I believe the key to student success is the differentiation that a teacher brings to the classroom. I strive to set up a classroom environment that gives all students the opportunity to learn and to find their true potential.
