I am currently a junior in college anxiously seeking my elementary education degree with ESL and LBS1 endorsements. I have observed, worked and volunteered at schools for the past 6 years. I have worked with a variety of students including students with disabilities, ELLs and general education students. I currently work at an elementary after/before care where I try out new crafts and games every day.
Lots of hands on materials and I love finding ways to make learning fun!
Senior Award- Consumer Science (Volunteered Junior/Senior year at elementary school) Graduated with Honors
I attended a small, private school in Elgin, IL my entire elementary and middle school career. I loved it. Then, attended the private high school next door that was even smaller, but decided it wasn't for me. It wasn't for me because I wanted a chance to play more competitive sports and participate in elective classes. I began my junior year at Hampshire High School and instantly loved the freedom of possibilities the public schools had to offer. I graduated Hampshire High School in 2011. After high school I attended a community college in Elgin and graduated with my associates degree in arts in the Spring of 2014. Currently, I am awaiting my acceptance into the School of Education at Judson University in my hometown of Elgin, IL. (Guess I can't get away from Elgin.) I am taking education courses to fulfill both my degree in elementary education and my endorsements in special education and ESL. My goal is to graduate, get a job and go back to get my masters!
