TEACHING EXPERIENCE

In the US I've taught Geography and History of the World, US History, World History and Indiana History. Overseas I've taught HS English.

MY TEACHING STYLE

A majority of my students are below reading level so I try to incorporate literacy practice into most lessons and vary instruction time between reading, notes, stations and simulations.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Two days after the end of the school year I received an email from a student. He said he had been "bored ALL summer" and that he missed my class, and was thankful for what he'd learned.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

BA in History and Secondary Education

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

When I'm not teaching or planning I'm hiking, reading or playing with my dog!
