3 years of teaching high school French and Spanish in Title I schools in South Carolina.
I teach using authentic materials with tasks adapted for learners, and teach language through culture. I believe we should teach the way we all fell in love with language, because passion is contagious! ACTFL-aligned/obsessed, diversity, and breaking down all barriers, especially language. I believe in task-oriented, communicative, contextualized, and comprehensible classrooms. I am beginning to incorporate Comprehensible Input and TPRS strategies, and hope to make the full leap next year. I specialize in la culture francophonie and la cultura caribeña.

Mom of a toddler fondly known as "the tiny tyrant" and a serious music lover. Married to a handsome horticulturalist and national guardsman, and best friends with the hound mix Ernita-fondly known as "Ernie" for her grumpy old man face. Working teacher--all of my products come fresh out of my own classroom. Working on my masters currently ...wish me luck!
