TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have 27 years experience teaching the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th grade curriculum in Language Arts. I have worked with students with lower level reading abilities as well as gifted students. Mentoring new teachers, coaching veteran teachers, and conducting workshops helps me share my highest quality instruction with others so they can develop their students to their highest potential.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Since I am a visual and hands-on learner, that's how I run my classroom. I try to be as creative as I can during my teaching and lesson planning, while still following the guidelines of the Core Curriculum standards. I often try to marry the worlds of creativity and authentic learning with the demands of high stakes testing.
