TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am so excited to be teaching Spanish 1 at a LARGE public high this year! This will be my 4th year teaching the language. Previously I taught Spanish to grades K-8 at a Catholic elementary school. I am loving the jump...and seeing many more similarities between the age groups than I suspected!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am currently teaching with the Avancemos 1 textbook, so many of my resources, activities, and projects center around the vocabulary and grammar sequence provided in that text. With the elementary students, I based my curriculum off of the "Teach Them Spanish" workbook series. The worksheets and activities I have in my store all supplement the basic vocabulary and sequence of these workbooks. With my seventh and eighth grade students, I taught from the Realidades text book series so some resourcesl take root in that sequence.
