I am originally from France and had the wonderful opportunity to share my native language with young children as an Au pair/nanny. I fostered their French language development through playing, guiding, and teaching. While studying early childhood education/human development, I developed a deep understanding of bilingualism (being an ESL student myself earlier) and that became the focus of my senior thesis. As a student teacher, I was exposed to a wide range of grades, from Pre-K to 3rd grade, educational philosophies and programs (Frobelian and Head Start) and classroom curriculum (Baccalaureate Programme and Creative curriculum). After completing my studies, I taught for over 2 years at a low-income school specializing in behavioral issues. Pre-K is my favorite age group!
"Creative" hands-on learning with a focus on integrated curriculum. Arts and science are ALWAYS experienced in the classroom and it can get messy....
