I've been speaking Spanish since I was 14 years old when I lived in Mexico City with a great generous family in an exchange program. This rich experience has carried me through my studies at the University of Pittsburgh, George Washington University, Hunter College of the City University of New York, the International Baccalaureate training program at the United Nations International School. From Instituto Cervantes to Advanced Placement training. From ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview and Writing Proficiency training workshops to starting beginning Korean classes to partnering with new language learning and gaming start up companies here and abroad. Believe it or not, I've taught Prekindergarten thru 6th grades, middle school immersion and high school grades 9-12. The time has just flown by! I am a very fortunate language learner and teacher.
Let's build a better language learning experience for our language students. An experience based on the over 40 years of solid second language acquisition research not just legacy methods.
