After nine years of teaching I began private practice with a specialisation in literacy.

I earned my B.S. and M.S at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. I attended several continuing education seminars in the Chicagoland area for five and a half years. In regard to literacy, after numerous hours of study in various programs I landed in the group that finally answered all of my questions. I have taken Spellinars with RealSpelling, LEXinars with Linguist-Educator Exchange, and I attended a week long conference with Wordworks-Kingston.
I am an advocate for children and the trodden upon. I am a seeker of knowledge and scholarship. I am an outdoor enthusiast and fill my cup by hiking and kayaking. I am one who tries to maintain sanity in an insane world by studying logical factual information about the English Language. I question everything and welcome questions from others.
