TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hello everyone! I am a general education teacher teaching 1st ages six to eight in a self-contained classroom. I live in Lakeland with my wonderful son, one dog, Mississippi, and one too cuddly cat named Shrek. I created Lanie’s Little Learners in memory of my mother Elaine whose nickname growing up was Lanie. She was an early childhood educator, teaching Pre-K for years. She was always encouraging me to pursue my own interest such as a BFA, but she gently hinted at teaching as an alternate career. If she could see me now, I know she would have an, “I told you so,” smile on her face :-)
