TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am just starting my third year of teaching for the 2014-2015 school year. I have volunteered my time and worked with children of all ages, from infant to seniors in high school. I have a Bachelor of Arts in English Secondary Education and a Minor in Psychology. I was also an Art Education major for a few years, so I have a solid background in the fine arts as well. I am also the co-adviser for the high school yearbook. This will be my 2nd year advising the yearbook, and I am excited to get started!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a laid back teacher, but at the same time I am a little "old school" when it comes to my approach. Being younger, I think my students get a little confused when I don't act any different than their more experienced teachers.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Associate of Fine Arts and Psychology from Southwestern Illinois College; Bachelor of Arts in English Secondary Education and Minor in Psychology from McKendree University.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I recently got married on November 10, 2013. Ironically, my last name is Story. The kids love making up names for me, such as Mrs. Novel, and Mrs. Book. They think they are so clever.
