TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a 4th year teacher. I spent my first two years working in Great Bend, KS and am now working in the Salem-Keizer School district. Right now my experience consists of a lot of trial and error, but I LOVE figuring out how to better my teaching both for myself and the benefit of my students. While the bulk of my job is teaching general music to my K-5 students, I also have an after school choir with my 4th and 5th grade students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I just received my Kodaly Level I certification from Portland State University. I had the privilege of learning under some incredible musicians and pedagogists including Susan Brumfield, Carol Brown, Andy Paney, Panni Kovacs, and Kurt Cereske. It has been such an incredible experience and I will go back to complete my certification in the following summers.
