I have been teaching Latin for 30 years. In that time I have taught grades 6-12 and have taught Latin 1 through AP, Ancient Greek, Greek History, Roman History, Mythology, Women in the Ancient World, and Greek Tragedy. I have also designed student travel opportunities to Italy, Ireland, Russia, and Belize.
Basically I teach in the style of Socrates. If you come for a lecture, you are definitely in the wrong place. My classroom is alive with energy, the 40 horizontal feet of white board is constantly in use as students are put through various exercises of sentence manipulations and scansion of the poetry we read. I have written my own textbook for Latin 1, various Latin 2 topical chapters and I use mostly public domain texts for my advanced classes. We are an iPad school and I make great use of them in the classroom.
