TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hi there, I'm Alexis! I'm a 30 something bubbly and creative teacher and web designer living in Seattle, Washington. I absolutely love cooking, photography, designing, technology, and organization of literally everything. ♥ Over my 5+ years of teaching, I've taught Kindergarten, ELL, Third Grade, Fourth Grade, and ELL in Middle School. Every year is truly a new adventure and I wouldn't have it any other way!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I absolutely love teaching writing, math, and strive with classroom management. I also have a strong connection with building a classroom foundation with my students so they can feel at home within my classroom. I even let them bring a potted plant and pictured frame of their family to prove it. :]

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

As of right now, none that I know of. But I did win a few artist of the year certificates while in high school as well as being honored to having my art hung permanently in the hallways!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have my bachelor degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I also am ELL endorsed through the state of Washington. I have recently completed my masters program and hold a MD with Classroom Leadership with an emphasis on English Language Learners.
