I have been teaching and loving it for 10 years! With a wide range of experience at the elementary level, I have spent the last 5 years focused on grades 2-4. I work at an inner city school that has many unique challenges which has forced me to become skilled at differentiation when teaching.
I am student orientated in planning and teaching lessons. Working at a inner city school has made it extremely important to consider social emotional needs of the students when learning. Self regulation is also a constant focus. My classroom is a safe, healthy, and happy place to learn, be curious, fail, rise up against challenges and learn to actively pursue success achieve goals.
I studied at my hometown college then abroad overseas. I finally attended Simon Fraser University for my BA in Arts and my Ba in Education. I did my teaching practicum in Delta and continue to work and professionally develop in the Lower Mainland.
