I have been in the classroom teaching since 2002. I started out by working as a substitute teacher for 6 amazing years, while my own kids were in elementary school. I loved being in different classrooms everyday. Since I subbed at my kids’ school we got to go to school together everyday! It was wonderful! They are both all grown up now so I am full time in my own classroom as a first grade teacher!
My teaching style is very student centered! I love helping students explore and learn in their own unique ways. Collaboration and small group instruction are important parts of my classroom.
All my honors and awards have been generously given to me my by my students! They include: World's Best Teacher Coolest Teacher Greatest Teacher Ever and my personal favorite; "Mrs. Ado, you make things funner"
I have Bachelor of Science from West Virginia University (Let's Go Mountaineers!) and a masters in Education from University of Maryland.
I have two amazing children of my own, and a super supportive hubby!!
