I have been teaching both regular and special education for almost 20 years now (yikes..I blinked and somehow that happened without my paying attention!). I have also worked as an Early Intervention Specialist in the county where I live.
The catch phrase of the century is "data driven instruction". Although I collect, respect and apply data in my daily insruction. I like to believe that I am "child driven" when it comes to instruction. I enjoy spending time with kids and Kindergarten is the perfect spot for me! There is no place I would rather be than surrounded by the busy hum that comes from joyful children enjoying their learning.

I have undergraduate degrees in Early Childhood Development and Elementary Education and a Masters degree in Special Education.
I have two great kids of my own. I have a spirited, spicy 10 year old daughter and a docile, empathetic 7 year old son. They sure keep us on our toes...but that's the good stuff, right? My husband and I try to remind ourselves as often as possible that the days might go slow but the years go fast.
