TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for eight years in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I teach in a K-2 Primary School, and I love it! I have been a "looping teacher," which means I taught the same children for two years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I work hard to do the best for each child each day! I teach my children to work and learn in a cooperative enviornment. I have high expectations for each child to gain knowledge and responsibility every day! My classroom is a welcoming environment and I do my best to accomodate the learning styles of my students. I teach with a variety of grouping strategies throughout the school day, and I try to integrate subjects as often as possible!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I received my National Board for Professional Teaching Standards certificate in 2008.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I grew up in Tuscaloosa and graduated from Central High School. I then attended The University of Alabama where I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I have been happily married for 7.5 years! My husband, Kelley, and I have two children we adore! We enjoy spending time together. We love animals and being outdoors! When I get a spare moment, I love to get lost in a good book!
