I have 10 years of teaching experience at the high school level. I have taught academic, honors, and AP level Biology. I have worked on developing curricula, assessments aligned with the NJ and NGSS standards, and have made it a goal of mine to implement as much student-driven learning. My activities are problem-based, inquiry drives, and cooperative learning. Real world problems and application of knowledge are what our students will face and I try to design lessons that will enhance their skills to be successful members of the general and scientific community.
Student-centered, problem based, inquiry driven.

I am passionate about teaching and exposing students to the science in their everyday lives. It is important to me that they walk out of my classroom respecting the science process and being critical of what they see/hear everyday so they can make informed decisions about what is going on in the world around them.
