Dr. Crystal LaVoulle is an independent literacy consultant and Executive Director of the LaVoulle Group, LLC., an educational consulting group specializing in differentiated professional learning and development. Her publication, Above the Drum: A Study of Visual Imagery Used to Represent the Changes in Hip-Hop appeared in SAGE Research Methods Cases. Dr. LaVoulle’s recently contributed to Critical Analysis of Hip-Hop Texts in Recontextualized: A Framework for Teaching English with Music.
