In the past, I have nannied and worked in a preschool daycare classroom. This gave me extensive experience in ages birth-5 years. Since working on my Master's and licensure, I have worked in both a Pre-K and a Kindergarten classroom. I completed my student teaching in the fall of 2014 in a 3rd grade classroom. I have also worked in a 4th/5th grade Gifted classroom, which was a much different but very eye-opening and rewarding experience compared to working with younger students.
Hands-on, differentiated learning is what I prefer to do with my students. Being a young, new teacher, I know that I have much to learn. I welcome any advice from current and past educators, and look forward to "updating" my personal teaching style and philosophy as I grow in my teaching career.
