Ever since I can remember I have always wanted to be a teacher. My dreams came true and I have had the opportunity to teach First Grade, Third Grade, Fourth Grade, Elementary School Art, Private Art Lessons, as well as owned my own Preschool. Right now I am Mom to two adorable Elementary School and Middle School Aged Children.
I love to make my teaching creative, exciting, and hands on for my students. I feel that building a child's self esteem is just as important as the academic things you teach them in the classroom. Learning should be exciting, engaging, and foster student's creativity.
I received the Apple Teacher Award while teaching 4th Grade for being an exceptional teacher. I was my upper grade literacy specialist, team leader, and I was a part of the school's professional development team. I received a Presidential scholarship to Southern Utah University where I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and minored in Art and Social Science. My cute kiddos think I am the best mommy around, which I feel like is the biggest honor/award I could accomplish. :)
I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education as well as Minors in Art and Social Science from Southern Utah University. I have also taken additional Early Childhood classes.
I have always loved teaching children, creating learning materials, and the arts. So, as you can see, my Learn and Grow Designs Shop is a little slice of heaven for me. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my husband, two children, and my silly rescue dogs. Nothing brings me more joy! I also love to paint, draw, garden, and read in my spare time.
