TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Since coming to London nine years ago, I have taught Italian to both native and non-native English speakers. I have become particularly well acquainted with the phonological as well as grammatical and lexical difficulties experienced by native English speakers who are learning Italian. I have developed the expertise to design and deliver stimulating and enjoyable lessons that help learners of all levels and ages to improve their skills in using the Italian language for effective communication.During the past five years I have also developed the blog www.ilearnitalian.net, where I design and publish blended activities for learning Italian in class and through self-study at home. I also publish contents related to the process of learning a foreign language, and I promote various study trips to visit Italy and study Italian.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I prefer to adopt a communicative approach in my teaching and training, making full use of pair and group work activities, discussion and communicative games and exercises.
