I have taught Pre-K to 3rd grade for the past 15 years in a self-contained, resource and inclusion classroom. My specialty is teaching children with autism.
Applied Behavior Analysis in a naturalistic setting is my main teaching style. I also incorporate fun hands on curriculum base lessons with lots of educational music and corresponding simplified pictures. My curriculum materials are made so the learner is not distracted by any added visuals other than what is being taught.
I received the Innovation of Special Education Certificate of Appreciation for physically and learning disable students, Nominated for Disney's Teacher of the Year, Interviewed on New York's radio station Q104.3 about my teaching style and concerns about autism.
