I've been blessed to have taught with some amazing teachers in several awesome schools. Most of my teaching experience has been in the 1st and 4th grade, with over 10 years in each of these grades. I have also taught Pre K, 2nd & 5th. Currently I am teaching 4th grade in a Lutheran School in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
I believe children learn best through experiences, and I strive to provide my students with as many hands-on experiences as possible. My classroom always has some sort of critter scurrying around, whether it's a monarch butterfly emerging from its chrysalis, baby chicks hatching, or albino rats being weighed, measured and fed a special diet. And, besides all the excitement these experiences bring to my classroom, they are easily integrated into any subject area.
It is an honor to tell about Jesus every day in my classroom.
