TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught American History and English Language Arts for 3 years. I teach 7th and 8th grade in middle school.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to teach to all different styles of learning; my classrooms typically have a range of skills and capabilities, and I like to ensure everyone is included. My assignments often have choice components, which enables each student to set their own pace.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I teach middle school, a tough age, but I have found that it is a wonderful age. I consider eighth grade the final frontier; I prepare my students for the things that will be expected of them in high school. I keep my standards and expectations high and have been rewarded with students returning to me and saying, "You were right. I felt ready because of you."
