TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hello! I'm an early years educator, with almost 20 years teaching experience. I am currently the specialist teacher in my primary school for literacy development. I've a real passion for sharing picture books with young readers and this is reflected in my products... and on my Learning Parade blog.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I create literacy center activities and printables with original artwork. My goal is to support children who find working independently a challenge. I seek to create engaging tasks matched to the needs of young children, so they feel a sense of achievement and remain focused while working independently. I use the amazing picture books we share together as a class for inspiration.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Developed educational outreach resources for Sesame Workshop (Sesame Street) while working on an early years advisory team. Our materials were published and distributed to teachers throughout Northern Ireland, where I live.
