TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I currently teach 3-7th language arts in a private christian school and I am so happy where I am and couldn't be more blessed :) Before that, I was a private tutor, specializing in Elementary/Middle students and tutor in the subjects of language arts, reading, and social studies. Although I am a first year teacher, I have experience teaching 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. My concentrations are English Language Arts and Social Studies in Middle Grades Education.

MY TEACHING STYLE

In this type of profession, an individual must have compassion for teaching children and young adolescents. Being able to effectively connect and communicate while establishing a good rapport with the students is a prerequisite. I believe learning is best achieved in a safe environment filled with exceptional teachers who are able to teach principles that can be applied in and outside of the classroom. Making lessons relevant and connect to the real world is vital to the success of the students. My mission as an educator is to prepare my students for any academic endeavors they pursue in the present and future by instilling the knowledge and foundation they need to be successful productive members of society.
