TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught for 33 wonderful years!! I have had the opportunity to teach kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade and for the past 5 years I have taught Pre-K. I feel that my experience in teaching all the primary grades has always helped me to know where the kids are coming from and where they are going. I teach in a rural school district that is located between Buffalo and Rochester.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe that children learn by doing and most importantly by playing. My classroom has always been child centered. I love to read to my students and I am very passionate about my students learning to love reading and being read to.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I am awarded everyday by a smile or a hug from my students!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from Buffalo State College with my Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Elementary Education with a Concentration in Early Childhood.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I consider myself very crafty. I love to knit, sew and do card stamping. I enjoy reading for pleasure and for educational research. I spend my free time with my husband, my two sons, my daughter and son in law and my 3 beautiful granddaughters!
