I have been teaching for 15 years. I have split my time between 5th grade, 1st and Kindergarten. I have loved every grade I have taught for different reasons. Upper grades were fun for diving into literature and digging into science but I love the fun of teaching little ones to read in Kinder and 1st! I am currently working as a reading specialist and IB Coordinator.
My teaching style is a whole brain approach with a lot of hands on learning. There is a lot going on in my room everyday in every way. I love using technology in the classroom and taking my students on virtual field trips to meet people outside of our little community. I have an open door policy, and parents/grandparents/administrators/students are welcome in my room anytime. I love to share what my students are doing with others!
