I focus on student-centered instruction. If a teacher is doing more work than the students, there is something not quite right in the classroom. That being said, student learning should be engaging. Of course, engaging doesn't always mean fun. Engaging means challenging, exciting, difficult, and interesting. The lessons I provide offer students an opportunity to prove mastery of content through an authentic lens. By building relationships with the kids, teachers are able to promote deeper student learning. If students trust you, they'll work for you. I develop lessons based on that simple philosophy.
