In my teaching and leadership positions, I found a true passion for teaching students self-advocacy skills, supporting teachers, providing professional developments, encouraging stakeholder collaborations, and taking on administrative responsibilities with the ultimate goal of fostering transformational academic and behavioral change. My resources have the perfect balance of high expectations with accommodations and lots of CREATIVITY. • School can be boring. Assignments can be too hard or too difficult. It's our responsibilities as educators to consider who are learners are, what the goal of the lesson is and design legit resources accordingly. • Legit Learning design should consider the experiences, knowledge, skills, motivation, habits, social skills, and the environment so ALL of our students can learn to the best of their abilities. For me, the goal of Legit Learning is for students to be able to learn skills they can take back to the real world so they can do the things they want or need to do.
