Education Specialist | School Operations Manager | New Teacher Mentor | Founding Special Education Teacher | Special Education Department Lead | Special Education Coordinator | Educational Consultant • Equal parts dreamer and doer. A creative, open-minded, and dedicated educator who finds my purpose in creating transformational change in education. I can be relied upon to envision, plan, and carry out creative and complex projects. • I taught Special Education in the urban and high needs areas of South Los Angeles. Do you have an overwhelming amount of students on your caseload and need resources for case management? I GOT YOU. Do you need classroom management resources to prevent major misbehaviors? I GOT YOU. Do your students often need social-emotional support? I GOT YOU. From Tier 1 to Tier 3 (RTI), I offer school-wide, small group, and individualized academic and behavioral support resources. Trust me, I GOT YOU. ;) And if I don't have what you're looking for, please let me know! My main mission is to support and collaborate with educators across America in all subject areas, settings, and grade levels, because good teaching is good teaching. And legit teaching is legit.
In my teaching and leadership positions, I found a true passion for teaching students self-advocacy skills, supporting teachers, providing professional developments, encouraging stakeholder collaborations, and taking on administrative responsibilities with the ultimate goal of fostering transformational academic and behavioral change. My resources have the perfect balance of high expectations with accommodations and lots of CREATIVITY. • School can be boring. Assignments can be too hard or too difficult. It's our responsibilities as educators to consider who are learners are, what the goal of the lesson is and design legit resources accordingly. • Legit Learning design should consider the experiences, knowledge, skills, motivation, habits, social skills, and the environment so ALL of our students can learn to the best of their abilities. For me, the goal of Legit Learning is for students to be able to learn skills they can take back to the real world so they can do the things they want or need to do.
